All in the Family

Introducing the newest blogging member of my family—my cousin, Silvia.

Glamyng is where fashion and architecture collide (with an emphasis on fashion). Here are my faves:

Cannot wait for Silvia to move back to New York...hopefully soon!

Details.

The smallest details can make a huge impact—a few things that are blowing my mind right now.

Living Art.

I have a black thumb, it's true, but I am willing to give these air plants a whirl because I just love how they add greenery in such a unique way! No pots, no vases, no hanging macramé baskets.

A friend of mine just had her kitchen completely renovated and they wrapped an entire wall with old barn wood. She's considering layering another natural element over the barn wood with something like these. I cannot WAIT to see the finished result—it's going to be GORG!

Friday Faves // Pink + Yellow + Black

Okay, so the bracelet isn't pink, yellow or black, but I LOVE it—so in she goes.
Happy Super Bowl Weekend!

What I'm Working on Wednesday // PopShop™

I've been dropping hints about a new and exciting project and guess what, people! I'm letting you in on the news...

Couldn't be more excited to be working with the perfect team—the lovely Ashley Kane and Kelly Scinto. We've been hard at work reaching out to only the most fabulous vendors, scouting the perfect location, and patiently waiting for the right time to share the exciting news—without further ado let me introduce, PopShop!

PopShop is a European-style open-air pop up market. PopShop will feature 50-75 top curated vendors of antique and repurposed furniture, artwork, jewelry, and fashion by local artists, designers, and merchants. Each event will feature a local Connecticut brewer as well as delicious food from the hottest food trucks. Attendees will be able to grab a pop from our bar car and a tasty bite from top local farm-to-table eating establishments while they peruse the market.

We aim to provide a unique experience like no other pop up shop. The first PopShop will take place on June 1 in Fairfield, Connecticut—so mark your iCal. But be sure to check back, because we'll be announcing the top-secret PopShop location as we get closer to the date!

It goes without saying that you should follow PopShop on Facebook and Twitter as we name-drop PopShop vendors, food trucks, and tons more.

What I'm Working on Wednesday :: Poster Prints

I was really excited to design a couple prints for Trump's room and I love them so much that I'm making them available to all of you!

This morning print is framed and ready to hang—a perfect fit to IKEA'S Ribba frame.

At only $30.00 a print—it's super affordable to brighten up your baby-love's nursery, bedroom or playroom! Hit me up HERE until the shop is up.

Vintage Schmintage.

I do love a good vintage find. And old-school bathing suits are stealing the scene this summer as framed art for a beach house or coastal themed room.

But why should "mature" suits have all the fun? I think a cute baby swimsuit could be super fun and much easier (and cheaper) to find in fun colors that are very "now" and compliment your home. I love these suits for both boys and girls for a pop of wall color!

I'd totally frame these cuties in a shadow box for our living room or playroom.

New Edition.

It's time to freshen up the house with a few new pieces of art. (To go with all the fresh new plants I bought = future post.) Here's what I've found.

This perfectly reflects the chill little Trumpster.

Bought this for Li'l G, our newest potty user!

And THIS would work anywhere. I. LOVE. THESE. COLORS.

And since some of you may have been anticipating a little Bobby Brown action with that blog title... I wouldn't dare disappoint. Break it down now.

This past weekend my parents were in town and my sister spent some QT with us too. Here are a couple shots of our Monday Night Dinner—Fairfield Edition. (Some of you might know about my family's long standing tradition to go to my Nonna's house, in Rochester, New York, every Monday night. I really REALLY miss it. So this was a nice treat.)

Reminder: We're only 8 likes away from 200 on facebook. Be a sweet little muffin and click on my name below to take you to the page. Please and thank you.

V-day Painting (not the edible kind)

Something about Valentine's Day rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's all the pressure it piles on to prove how much you love someone, or feel bad about not having found love yet, or worse—realizing you don't love the person you're with. Ok, Debbie Downer—wah waaaaaah!

BUT I do love love. And presents. And flowers. And the color pink—red's not bad either. So, maybe it's time for a change of heart.

While jewelry always makes me smile, I think something a little more colorful is in order.

This makes me so happy and energized. I'm thinking dining room? Bedroom?

Oil painting, "Died Pretty" by Todd Hunter

Lots of pop but really soft at the same time. Probably the only pink painting I could get away with hanging in a house with three boys.

A very calming piece with...wait for it...METALLIC GOLD PAINT! dying.

I mean, it's cake. Sold.

McMuffin, if you're reading this—no pressure (lots of pressure).

Going on a Pet Hunt.

I spend a lot (and I mean A LOT) of time searching for beautiful photography of cats and dogs at my day job. There are a couple photographers whose work is so gorgeous it makes me almost want to get a pet of my own—almost. They are Li Ward from Fat Orange Cat Studio and Sharon Montrose.

Take a look at these cuties by Li and tell me you don't have an urge to hit the pet shelter:

Love how the striped leash on the white doggy mimics a tie in front of these commercial buildings.

Happiest. dog. ever. I want him.

 Gorgeous.

I mean, I can't even deal with this. It rips my heart out. In a good way.

Now check out these studio shots by Sharon Montrose. We were lucky enough to score one of her photos for an ad campaign we did last year. Such amazing work:

The wind-blown look. Amazing!

The details are so beautiful.

The next two aren't from a studio, obvi, but so much personality—I can't get over it.

Makes me want to get a dog and take them to the beach. (Minus the stinky clean up.)

After spending time with our neighbor's dog, Buddy, Li'l G has been asking for a four legged friend. Mommy said no—I clean up enough messes. But I have a feeling one might be in our future...far, far, far away in our future.

Aaaaand the How to Love an American Man giveaway is still open!
Head there now to enter: Click here. It's super fun and I want to hear what you chat with your Granny about.

Nouveau Chic.

I came across Cameo Nouveau a couple weeks ago and have been wanting to share it with you ever since. I love the variation of their products—there really is something for everyone. These are a few of my favorite things—especially the studded zip drive. (My birthday is less than a month away...ehem.)

I'm pretty much obsessed with all things Art Nouveau (which the above are not). And if you didn't sit through 8 semesters of Art History like I did (or maybe slept through the Art Nouveau lecture) then see the below for examples of some Art Nouveau gorgeousness if you aren't sure what I'm talking about:

Doorway.

Rings.

From J Crew.

From Alkemie.

Staircase.

This would be an amazing wedding dress...to go with the above wedding invites.
