Happy, Happy Birthday Baby

Today we're celebrating the mac to my cheese, the icing on my cake, the ham in my McMuffin (er wait, that sounded dirty).

You make everything in life better.
Happy Birthday!

McMuffinversary

6 years ago (and ten days), McMuffin and I got hitched! We celebrated at Capon Springs and our present to each other is a fab new kitchen! Demo starts in a few days, so you can be sure to get a peek at the whole process right here and on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

What I'm Working on Wednesday // Nonna's 90th

You're invited to check out all the design details and photos from my grandmother's 90th birthday bash! We kicked it off with a garden-themed invitation by yours truly and carried that through with seating cards, table numbers, even the centerpieces were made from lilacs and sunflowers from Rochester's Public Market.
Pretty amazing that Nonna was able to celebrate her 90th with her 96 year old big sister.
Three children, seven grandkids, and three great-grandchildren all hoping we got Nonna's incredible genes. Baci Cari!

Details.

The smallest details can make a huge impact—a few things that are blowing my mind right now.

A Man Walks into a Bar.

Ten years ago, a man walked into a bar, and said "hey". The rest is history.

Weekend Wrap Up // Datenight

I love a date night with McMuffin. We kicked it off with a super yummy dinner at Spotted Horse and then onto the main event...Grace Potter & The Nocturnals! The show was incredible—talk about true professionals. I was on such a high walking out of the show, AND THEN we literally ran into Matt Burr, the drummer extraordinaire. Cue embarrassing photo sesh with yours truly...

McMuffin proposed six years ago tonight in this very special spot in Manhattan.
Right here on this snowy bridge is where he got down on one knee and popped the question.
This is what it looks like in the Spring.

Glamazon!

My client, Krissy Gasbarre, author and host of Identity & Intimacy, just sent me a link to the Glamour magazine alert page that is featuring her event—and the logo I created for it! I am in total agreement with her that they stole the Identity & Intimacy color palette for the whole page.

The event is next weekend! I can't believe it's so close. Sign up here, now and tell them that I sent you. Have a great weekend.

Cinco de Espach.

In case I haven't rubbed it in substantially, McMuffin and I are celebrating our five year anniversary in a whirlwind weeklong vacation. We're finally in Cali celebrating a best friend's wedding and having an amazing time. My sister, in a guest post, shared a few pictures of our wedding last year. So today, I just want to share my favorite picture of us in the spot where McMuffin proposed.

Can anyone guess where in New York we are? Hint: Gregg lived across the street and so did Jay Z—in a music video.

What I'm Working on Wednesday // Looking for Love

I've been working with Kristine Gasbarre, author of How to Love an American Man on this exciting new retreat for people searching for love. It's taking place in New York—capital of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes—and will be presented by psychotherapist Ken Page, LCSW of Psychology Today.

AED whipped up a strong but feminine logo, Facebook and Constant Contact imagery as well as all of the day-of-event materials. Stay tuned for those, but if this sounds like something you'd like to attend—you'll get to see everything in person! Head here for registration information.

And because I love pretty pictures... check out these photos of Kristine and her Mom by Joelle Watt. GORG!

Ex Boyfriend?

This morning I dropped McMuffin off at the coffee shop by the train station. Before I could back out of my parking spot I decided I wanted a coffee too. So I ran in a minute later, got in line next to McMuffin and gave him a friendly punch in the arm. The barrista looked at us funny and after McMuffin left to grab his train, she said we looked good together and asked if he was my boyfriend.

I found this hilarious and I replied, "No. Not anymore... He's my husband." big smile*

That seemed like the perfect end to a weekend that included an awesome date day—courtesy of my in-laws. We hit Morandi for brunch (the coffee is seriously brewed by angels) and then shot up to Lincoln Center to see War Horse.

War Horse was beyond amazing. As a once upon a time art student who survived the Freshman Foundation program, (co-sufferers, you know what I'm talking about) I was blown away by the artistic engineering of the show. But in true "Andrea" form, what really blew my mind was the chocolate pignoli nut brioche I had a few hours earlier at Morandi.

Behold. Brunch.

These are the first poached eggs I've ever had. They looked, um... interesting. But so DELICIOUS!

I'm the weirdo who takes pictures of her food.

Happy Monday!
