The only thing I might have in common with a prom-going seventeen year old is that we both listen to Ke$ha. When I went to prom, long dresses were all the rage. Now it seems like short dresses (or long tops) are preferred.

Having no daughters myself—the chance of me having to suffer through prom-dress shopping isn't likely. But I couldn't help myself from checking out the prom '11 styles at Bloomingdales. Here are a few dresses I chose for these high school superlatives:
